UA Ruhr Assembly

Seven representatives from the senates of the universities of Bochum, Dortmund, and Duisburg-Essen form the UA Ruhr Assembly. The inaugural meeting took place on 20 April 2026 in Bochum. Together with the Executive Board of the UA Ruhr, the Assembly discusses current and strategic issues of the cooperation.

The Assembly was established with the signing of the new UA Ruhr cooperation agreement in 2025 to ensure reliable feedback on important issues to the senates of the three universities. At its first meeting, Professor Dr. Jörg Bogumil, Chair of Public Administration, Urban and Regional Policy (öffentliche Verwaltung, Stadt- und Regionalpolitik), and Spokesperson of the Senate of Ruhr University Bochum, was elected Spokesperson of the UA Ruhr Assembly.
