UA Ruhr Mobility Grants for Postdocs

The Research Academy is once again awarding Mobility Grants to postdoctoral researchers of the Universitätsallianz Ruhr (UA Ruhr). The grants support research stays abroad of up to 12 weeks with funding of up to €6,000. Already last year, numerous postdocs took advantage of this opportunity and shared insights from their international experiences upon return. Applications are open until 20 March 2026.

With the UA Ruhr Mobility Grants, the Universitätsallianz Ruhr opens up new perspectives for the academic and professional development of postdoctoral researchers. The program specifically promotes international mobility and provides ideal conditions for sharpening individual research profiles.

The Mobility Grants enable postdocs to broaden their international experience, build sustainable academic networks, and develop independent research projects in collaboration with international partners. In doing so, they make an important contribution to the international visibility and strategic networking of UA Ruhr.

The funding strengthens both innovative research impulses and long-term collaborations — key building blocks for a successful academic career in a global environment.

Research stays worldwide are funded for postdocs from all disciplines within UA Ruhr (with an employment contract or scholarship). In 2025, grant holders traveled to universities in Europe, Australia, and the United States.
