Dear members of the University Alliance Ruhr, dear readers, this message contains the UA Ruhr Annual Review 2025.

We are pleased to present the new developments and great successes of the UA Ruhr in 2025 in this annual review. Our joint work over the past 18 years continues to bear fruit: with three funded Clusters of Excellence, continued funding for the Research Alliance, and the new BRYCK Start-up Alliance, our cooperation has led to further positive developments in key areas.

Together, we are building bridges: within and between our universities, with regional partners for the Ruhr region, and around the world. 

We would like to thank all members of our universities who bring the University Alliance Ruhr to life. We hope you find this a stimulating and inspiring read and look forward to another exciting year for the UA Ruhr.
