The benefit performance with the famous Ukrainian author and musician brought in numerous guests. 

On 4 December 2022, the Ukrainian writer and winner of the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade Serhij Zhadan and his band "Zhadan i sobaki" were guests at the Bochum Rotunda. There was a roundtable discussion including a reading and a concert afterwards. The evening was hosted by University Alliance Ruhr and organised by Elena Resch from the Liaison Office Eastern Europe / Central Asia. The proceeds from admission fees and donations amounting to about 3,500 euros will be donated to Ukrainian educational institutions damaged in the war.
